📖 Biography

Appessika Adanin Laurent Koffi trained as an engineer in Industrial Mechanics and Automation at INP-HB (Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny), later specialising in irrigation and solar pumping technology through further training in India. He began his career as a Project Manager at Bolloré Transport & Logistics, before contributing to a Lean Manufacturing project at SITAB, building a foundation in industrial process and operations management.

In 2018, Koffi founded Green Agro Valley to address a persistent and costly problem facing Ivorian farmers: unreliable access to water for irrigation. The company develops ecological irrigation systems and solar-powered water pumping solutions, including its 'Laser Spray' irrigation system and various borehole technologies, designed specifically for smallholder farmers seeking to improve productivity while conserving water and other essential resources.

Now devoting himself full-time to the company's development, Koffi has grown Green Agro Valley into a recognised player in Ivory Coast's sustainable agriculture sector, contributing to national food security goals while helping farmers move away from costly and environmentally damaging alternatives. His work earned him a place among the top 20 entrepreneurs advancing to the semi-final of the 2026 Africa's Business Heroes competition.
